What is the difference between engraving and printing on glass?

With engraving, we physically carve the design into the glass itself (our standard method is sandblasting, but for some designs such as spirals or base engravings we will use a laser). Engraving produces a very elegant result and is truly permanent. Because the engraved design is carved into the surface, the design will appear in a natural frosted white.

With printing, we print the design in ink on the surface of the glass. The ink is cured to ensure that it adheres to the glass surface. Our printing methods produce a very durable result, but the design may wear over time/with heavy use.

We currently offer two different custom printing methods. The screen printing process allows for 1 color to be printed on the glass and is very cost-effective for large orders. The digital printing process allows for full color designs to be printed on the glass and is available for any size order, large or small.

What about setup fees or quantity requirements?

For our engraved or digitally printed orders, there are no quantity minimums or setup fees. Orders of any size, down to just a single glass, are no problem! (And, we offer quantity discounts for orders of multiple glasses). For screen printed orders, there is a setup charge of $45, and the minimum order size is 24 glasses.

Do you engrave products besides glassware?

Yes! We also offer custom engraving on wood, marble, and terra cotta products.

Do I select from your designs, or can I make my own?

Either one. We have a number of unique template designs for our engraved and digitally printed products that can be easily customized just by entering information in the order form boxes. Or, you can start from scratch and create your own design…each customizable item has a “Create Your Own” order form page that allows you to put anything you would like on the product.

How will I set up the engraving or printing that I want?

Ordering is accomplished through the pull down and text entry windows for each product. For certain products you can also upload graphics (look for the "Create Your Own" order form page) . If you would like more information on placing orders, please see our Ordering Info page.

How is the engraving done?

We primarily use sandblasting, which is the premier method of engraving on glassware. Sandblasting produces a deep, even mark with optimum appearance, and the process allows for the most design flexibility. We also utilize laser engravers for some special designs and for our wood, marble, and terra cotta products. Please click here for more information on engraving.

How is the printing done?

When screen printing we use a cylindrical screen printing machine to print on our glassware. We use flame pre-treatment and special inks for optimum appearance and durability. Please click here for more information on screen printing.

When digitally printing on glassware we use a digital inkjet printing machine with rotary capability. The glasses are flame treated, and we also apply an adhesion-promoter before your design is printed. Please click here for more information on the digital printing process.

What kind of glass do you use?

We use only restaurant quality glassware, and there is a difference! We use the types of glasses that you would see in a nice bar or restaurant. Most of our glassware is produced domestically by Libbey Glassware.

Can you put art in a design?

Certainly. Art is incorporated in many of our own designs, and can be added to any custom design. We have lots of great clip art to choose from.

Can you use my own art or logo?

Absolutely. We can accept most file types, to include jpeg, bmp, tif, pdf, doc, and eps. Items that allow for customer supplied art (i.e. the Create Your Own items) have an order form input to upload art files for us to use.

How are prices determined?

Pricing is displayed for each individual item. For custom decorated items we offer quantity tier based price breaks (the more items you order, the lower the price per item!) These are automatically applied for items of the same design that are placed in the cart as a quantity.

Do you do large orders?

Absolutely! We can do orders for parties, weddings, business applications, groups, etc. We offer significant discounts for bulk orders.

How fast do orders ship?

Orders of a dozen glasses or fewer will normally leave our facility within 3 business days of order placement. Larger bulk orders may take longer. Please note that after we ship the order, shipping transit times will also apply. Ground shipping transit times vary from 1-5 business days depending on your location in the country.

What are the shipping method options?

We currently ship with FedEx and USPS. The standard shipping method offered for your order is based on weight and volume. We also offer expedited FedEx options such as 2 Day Air and Overnight if needed. Please see our Shipping Info section for details.

What is the return policy?

We can accept returns on general wine merchandise... however, we can't accept returns on custom engraved or printed items. We will immediately replace an item (at no charge) if we make an error in the customization. However, we can't be responsible if the error was made by the customer. We will engrave or print what is on the order form, so please proofread your orders for spelling!

Do you offer gift boxing?

Yes. We can gift box your order for $8.95. Items will be packed in a glossy white box, with decorative ribbons and a gift note. The option for gift wrapping is presented on the shopping cart during checkout. Please note that restrictions do apply... the intent is for all items to be boxed together (as in a single gift). If you would like your order split into multiple gift boxes (such as gifts for different individuals), please contact us after order placement. Additional charges may apply for split gift boxes.

What about sales tax?

You will only be charged tax if the order is being shipped to a Nevada address. In that case, Nevada sales tax will be added.

What kinds of credit cards do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

I’m interested in ordering other types of glassware such as cocktail and beer glasses. Where can I order those?

Is my personal information that I give you secure?

Absolutely. We will not share your information with anyone. Please see our Privacy Policy for additional information.

Are transactions through your site secure?

Yes. We conduct our transactions through one of the industry leaders in security and protection. All credit card information is encrypted prior to transmission. Card data is only used within the banking system, and only the last four digits of your credit card number are visible within our order administration system.
